FUCKING JAM!
Eu creio que essa foi uma das primeiras músicas que escutei
dela e uma das que fez ter curiosidade checar o álbum inteiro. Não é muito
fácil encontrar músicas assim hoje em dia. Com mensagem, sabe? Não que fosse
comum antes, é um tema não muito explorado em músicas. Mas é muito atual, dado
que cada vez mais se discute sobre o padrão de beleza, como ele é excludente e
machuca até quem está dentro dele.
Essa música tenta passar a mensagem para todas as garotas do
mundo que não é que não se deve fazer tudo para “ser bonita”, não é okay passar
fome, desenvolver distúrbios alimentares, tudo para se moldar. "No scars to you
beautiful", ou seja, não se machuque (scars = cicatrizes), tanto fisicamente como
mentalmente, para ser “bonita”. Todos somos lindos do nosso jeito, por mais que
seja difícil de acreditar nisso, eu que o diga. Não é fácil se amar, é um
exercício que tem ser praticado todo dia. Por isso, quando for fazer algum
tratamento de beleza, pense primeiro: é minha própria vontade que quer fazer ou
vou fazer para ser mais aceita?
Enfim, amo essa música por ajudar a entender que é okay ser
